Rigging guide

The art
of rigging.

Proper rigging is everything. Each lure is handcrafted and balanced for specific hardware, so the right hooks and rings keep it swimming as intended — and holding up under pressure. Tap your lure size below for the exact setup.

How we rig, step by step.

A quick run-through of getting your hooks and rings on right — sound on.

The basics

Three pieces of hardware.

Every lure runs the same three components. Match them to your lure size and your target fish.

Treble hooks

The classic three-point hook. Maximum hook-up rate for topwater and reaction strikes.

Single (inline) hooks

Inline singles bite deep and are kinder for catch-and-release — and they foul less around reef and weed.

Split rings

Connect your hooks and leader. Match the lb rating to the fish you're chasing — they're the weak link if undersized.

Note: these are our recommended specs — hooks and rings aren't included with the lure. Match them from your preferred tackle brand, and step up the split-ring rating when you're chasing bigger, harder-pulling fish.

Ghost Drops · incl. Limited Edition

Ghost Drop rigging.

Tap your Ghost Drop size for the recommended treble, single and split-ring setup.

Single hooks#2 or #1 inline
Split rings#2–#3 · 25–35 lb

Tip: on the smaller Ghost Drops, inline singles keep the slow-sink flutter clean and are ideal for catch-and-release. Step up to the heavier ring ratings before throwing the 120–135mm at GTs and reef bruisers.

Rigged and ready

Now go get 'em.

Set up right, a FAR lure swims true and takes a beating. Pick your next one and get out on the water.
